Earn Exalted Reputation with the Oracles

Heya guys, it’s Valdun here.


For today, I’ll be talking about the Oracles faction located in the middle of Sholazar Basin. The Oracles can be found north-east of River’s Heart, at Rainspeaker Canopy

The quartermaster yields quite some interesting rewards, however gear-wise you’ll find little use to them after you’ve been into enough raids or heroics. One of the most interesting rewards is the Mysterious Egg, buyable for 3 gold at Revered. After 7 days, the egg will hatch, containing a random item of the following:

Cobra Hatchling
This is one of the 4 pets that can drop from the egg. It’s bind on use, and usually not that expensive on the Auction House. This one has a 20% droprate.
Tickbird Hatchling
This is another non-combat pet, which is a flying brown bird. This one also has a 20% droprate according to wowhead.
White Tickbird Hatchling
This pet is quite similar to the normal Tickbird Hatchling, with as only difference.. Well, it’s white. And guess what, a 20% droprate!
Proto-Drake whelp
This is the last of the 4 pets, a little proto-drake which makes cute noises. The droprate is 8%.
Reins of the Green Proto-Drake
This is the one item that everyone wants. It’s a very rare green proto-drake, with around a 2% droprate. And with a 7 day cooldown, that’s no fun..

Other rewards include a nice buff for in Sholazar, jewelcrafting designs and a epic trinket. As said above, the other gear rewards ain’t spectacular due being aimed at lower levels (you usually won’t be revered until level 80).

Now, how to get rep with them? The grind for rep can be quite long, and you’ll even have to do some prerequisites for it.

To start it all, you will have to kill Pitch. Doing so will spawn a hysterical Frenzyheart "capturing you". Then, follow these quests:

Then you’ll have to continue getting reputation by doing 3 dailies each day. Appeasing the Great Rain Stone will be the only daily you’ll be assured of each day, requesting you to dig up 6 pieces of shiny treasure.
The second daily can be Mastery of the Crystals, Power of the Great Ones or Will of the Titans

The third daily will be A Cleansing Song, Song of Fecundity, Reflection or Wind and Water


For every achievement collector out there, there are also 2 achievements bound to Oracles rep (not including the achievements to reach xx exalteds, ofcourse). The first one requires you to do all 8 daily quests, Savior of the Oracles, and the other one requires you to have been exalted with both the Oracles and the Frenzyheart tribe; Mercenary of Sholazar

Oh, and one more thing.. Don’t attack any Horde or Alliance in the middle of their base.. They can still hit hard if they’re with many, which I found out the wrong way.
