Greetings everyone! I hope the 'clysm is treating you all well. Today I'll be bringing you some tips for completing one of the easier achieves this expansion.

I have two tips today that will streamline your completion of this achievement.

The first and easiest method is adding the npc IDs of the critters to NPC_Scan. NPC_Scan is a great addon that works by alerting you when your game has cached an NPC of significance for the first time. The addon will alert you with visual and audio cues, as well as placing a nameplate on your screen with a 3D model of the NPC. Clicking the nameplate or the model will also target the NPC for you and place an icon over the NPC's head. NPC_Scan is traditionally used for locating the rare spawn NPCs of the game but here we will be using it to find all those cute little Cataclysm critters.

Once you download the addon (if you do not have it already Click Here) you will need to log in to your character and add the NPC IDs of the critters to the addon so that it will alert you to their presence. While in game type /npcscan and enter the NPC ID and Name of the critter into the boxes and click the "+" button. I've included a list of all the critters and their ID's below, including which zone to find them in.

*Note: You do not need to fill out the "World: field" for the critters*

Add these ID#'s to NPC Scan to have it alert you when you are nearby:

49779 - Alpine Chipmunk - Winterspring, Stonetalon Mountain & Mount Hyjal
50419 - Grotto Vole - Mount Hyjal
50496 - Oasis Moth - Uldum & Lost City of Tol'vir
48686 - Rattlesnake - Twilight Highlands, Badlands & Tanaris
48848 - Rockchewer Whelk - Shimmering Expanse
48802 - Sea Cucumber - Abyssal Depths & Shimmering Expanse
48683 - Yellow-Bellied Marmot - Twilight Highlands
48630 - Baradin Fox Kit - Tol Barad (Island where battle takes place)
50491 - Mac Frog - Uldum & Lost City of Tol'vir
50481 - Rock Viper - Mount Hyjal, Desolace & Silithus
47682 - Sassy Cat - Tol Barad (Daily island)
47667 - Wharf Rat - Booty Bay & Tol Barad (Daily island near docks)
48706 - Highlands Turkey - Twilight Highlands

After you have added all of the NPC IDs into NPC scan you will need to log out and close wow so you can clear your creature data cache. To do this, open your World of Warcraft folder on your computer then go to Cache > WDB > enUS (if your not on US servers this will be different. For example it could be enEU if you're on an english-european server, or other servers like enGB, kr, and so on.). In that folder delete creaturecache.wdb. Don't worry this file will be re-created when you next run WoW. We need to delete it so that when you load each of the critters it will be picked up by NPC_Scan.

Now just fly around each of the zones for the respective critters you need. When NPC scan pops up, target the critter and /love your way to this achievement.

For those of you out there who don't want to use NPC_Scan for whatever reason, I'm also including a macro for you below. This macro will target and /love the critters for you. You just have to manually spam it when you're in the appropriate zone. Refer to the list above to see which zones you will need to spam in for the critters you need. I also recommend deleting each specific line of the macro for a creature as you get that critter. Many of the zone contain multiple critters and you don't want to miss your chance at one critter because the macro is prioritizing a critter you already have.
