To All the Squirrels Who Cared for Me Guide Posted 2011-01-24 16:23:40 by Jangutu

Greetings everyone! I hope the 'clysm is treating you all well. Today I'll be bringing you some tips for completing one of the easier achieves this expansion.
[To All the Squirrels Who Cared for Me].

I have two tips today that will streamline your completion of this achievement.

The first and easiest method is adding the npc IDs of the critters to NPC_Scan. NPC_Scan is a great addon that works by alerting you when your game has cached an NPC of significance for the first time. The addon will alert you with visual and audio cues, as well as placing a nameplate on your screen with a 3D model of the NPC. Clicking the nameplate or the model will also target the NPC for you and place an icon over the NPC's head. NPC_Scan is traditionally used for locating the rare spawn NPCs of the game but here we will be using it to find all those cute little Cataclysm critters.

Once you download the addon (if you do not have it already Click Here) you will need to log in to your character and add the NPC IDs of the critters to the addon so that it will alert you to their presence. While in game type /npcscan and enter the NPC ID and Name of the critter into the boxes and click the "+" button. I've included a list of all the critters and their ID's below, including which zone to find them in.

Exalted! Zandalar Tribe Posted 2010-03-23 19:48:35 by Jangutu
Jangutu the Insane in Tiger Boss Mode

Every week Exalted! brings you a guide with everything you need to know about getting to exalted with a faction.

Hey everyone, Jangutu here. Anyone get the Irish flew this weekend? Or maybe planning on having it Thursday? ;)

Who?

The Zandalar Tribe are the Zandalar trolls and jungle trolls that occupy Yojamba Isle in Strangle Thorn Vale. They are a group of trolls that are in opposition to the Atal'ai trolls and the resurrected Blood God. The Atal'ai trolls can be found in the Sunken Temple, and with their god in Zul'Gurub (ZG).

The Grind:

Zul'Gurub:

kill, Kill, KILL, KILL!

As with any reputation tied to a raid, you can gain reputation by killing trash and bosses.
Trash will give you 3-5 rep per kill, the speakers specifically will give you 15 per kill.
A full run will net you ~2500-3000 from trash.

Bosses break down like this:
Edge of Madness boss (Random boss summoned by flask that can be learned from behind the altar, its that area with the patrolling imps that no one ever goes to between the tiger and raptor bosses) - 25rep
High Priests - 100 each (Jeklik, Arlokk, Mar'li, Thekal, Venoxis)
Gahz'ranka (the fished up boss) - 100 rep
Bloodlord Mandokir and Jin'do the Hexxer - 200 each
Hakkar the Soulflayer - 400 rep

A huge part of getting reputation will be the coins and the Bijous that you collect from the trash that you kill and loot.

Coins are turned in. Each ...

Exalted! The Ashen Verdict Posted 2010-03-09 20:03:22 by Jangutu
The Pirates of Skullcrusher LK25N Kill

Every week Exalted! brings you a guide with everything you need to know about getting to exalted with a faction.

Hey everyone, Jangutu here.

This week we'll be covering the newest reputation in the game, The Ashen Verdict. To be honest I was so happy we got Lich King down in 25 man this week, I wanted an excuse to post a Screenshot of the new title :D Also I apologize for how non-photogenic muh guild is, we never do guild screenshots.

This is an important rep, rewarding an amazing (BiS for most) ring and a title for hitting exalted.

Let's get started.

Who?

The Ashen Verdict is the faction formed when the Argent Crusade under Highlord Tirion Fordring joined forces with the Knights of the Ebon Blade who are led by Highlord Darion Mograine. This reputation is made for and exists solely in Icecrown Citadel.

The Grind

The grind can really only be done one way, and that is by killing anything and everything in Icecrown Citadel.

~Most trash mobs give 15 rep

~The larger mobs such as Deathbound Wards and Deathspeaker High Priests give 49 or 50 rep.

~Gunship Battle (aka Chess 2.0) rewards 100 rep

~All other bosses give 250 rep

~Sister Svalna (the miniboss at the beginning of frost wing)

rewards 450 rep

*Note: The members of the opposite faction before gunship do not reward reputation*

One of the ways to do this grind without waiting for it to reset each week would ...

Exalted! Cenarion Circle Posted 2010-03-02 22:32:51 by Jangutu
Exalted! Cenarion Circle Screenshot for article
Every week Exalted! brings you a guide with everything you need to know about getting to exalted with a faction.

Hey everyone, Jangutu here.

This week it's off to Cenarion Hold in Silithus as we dive right into Cenarion Circle. This has to be, in my opinion, one of the quickest exalted grinds in the game! A level 80 class with no downtime (such as warrior/rogue/kittydrood/DK) should only take a few hours to go neutral to exalted.

So on that note lets get to it.

Who?

Cenarion Circle (CC) is an organization of druids named after Cenarius. They have many locations, the main one is Nighthaven in the Moonglade. For the purpose the guide I'll be focusing mostly on the Cenarion Hold in Silithus where the druids combat the silithid, the qiraji, and the twilight's hammer.

If you've never been to Moonglade, now is a perfect time to go! Druids get a teleport at level 10, deathknights have the flight path as soon as they finish their opening quests (lucky ducks :p), but what about everyone else? Normally you would be taking a trip down the Timbermaw tunnels, but 'tis the season of the lunar festival! Talk to the lunar festival reps in any of your faction cities and you can teleport right to the Moonglade! Some of the quests for the lunar festival will get you some CC rep as well. Easy right? Just make sure you pick up the flight path ...

Exalted! Scryers and Aldor Posted 2010-02-23 22:39:42 by Jangutu

Every week Exalted! brings you a guide with everything you need to know about getting to exalted with a faction.

Jangutu here, and this week we'll taking a close look at the two opposing factions that reside in Shattrath City. A new addition to this weeks post is for you lazy and/or busy bodies out there. At the end of each section is a TLDR (Too Long, Didn't Read) version so you can do less reading and more playing. The video above is a long time classic machinima about how Aldor and Scryer can tear friends apart. It is long but hilarious, definitely worth watching.

Before you can start either of these grinds (or both wiiiiiiiiiink) you will need to pick one. This is done when you first get to Shattrath. Go to the center of the city where you'll see A'dal (the big white naaru) and standing near him will be Khadgar (Medivh's old apprentice). Khadgar will give you the a quest to take a tour of Shattrath. When the long, long, loooooong tour is finished, Khadgar will ask you to pick either Aldor or Scryer. The decision is up to you, but if you are planning on doing the grind to go from one at exalted to the other for [Hero of Shattrath], I recommend going Aldor first. There is one additional thing to note, Draenei will start off as friendly with the Aldor, or unfriendly with the Scryers, and Blood elves ...

Exalted! Netherwing - The Drakes of TBC Posted 2010-02-15 22:59:02 by Jangutu
Netherwing undercover

Every week Exalted! Brings you a guide with all you need to know on getting exalted with a faction.

Hey everyone, Jangutu here, I’ll be doing this weeks Exalted! If you want to learn more about me, check out the forums!

This week, I’ll be showing you how to get exalted with the Netherwing in Shadowmoon Valley. For this rep you’ll need a flying mount to get to neutral, and epic flying skill (300) to get from neutral to exalted. This reputation works a lot like Sons of Hodir. You unlock them through a quest chain, and then do dailies and collect rare items to turn in, the higher your reputation, the more dailies available to you. The difference between these reps is Netherwing only rewards with the ability to purchase and fly the netherwing drakes as well as [On Wings of Nether] when you reach exalted. There are 6 different shades of the netherwing drake. The different colors are purchasable for 200gold each. These mounts count towards your mount count, so they’re very useful if you need an extra push to hit 50 mounts [Leading the Cavalry] for your albino drake (or 100 mounts [Mountain o Mounts] for your dragonhawk). Another thing I’d like to note is the Netherwing dailies are different from Sons of Hodir dailies in the sense that Netherwing has you working undercover as a fel orc, as opposed to doing awkward chores such as polishing helms, raising spears, and blowing ...

Exalted! The Oracles Posted 2010-01-05 13:48:54 by Valdun
Heya guys, it’s Valdun here.

For today, I’ll be talking about the Oracles faction located in the middle of Sholazar Basin. The Oracles can be found north-east of River’s Heart, at Rainspeaker Canopy

The quartermaster yields quite some interesting rewards, however gear-wise you’ll find little use to them after you’ve been into enough raids or heroics. One of the most interesting rewards is the Mysterious Egg, buyable for 3 gold at Revered. After 7 days, the egg will hatch, containing a random item of the following:

Cobra Hatchling
This is one of the 4 pets that can drop from the egg. It’s bind on use, and usually not that expensive on the Auction House. This one has a 20% droprate.
Tickbird Hatchling
This is another non-combat pet, which is a flying brown bird. This one also has a 20% droprate according to wowhead.
White Tickbird Hatchling
This pet is quite similar to the normal Tickbird Hatchling, with as only difference.. Well, it’s white. And guess what, a 20% droprate!
Proto-Drake whelp
This is the last of the 4 pets, a little proto-drake which makes cute noises. The droprate is 8%.
Reins of the Green Proto-Drake
This is the one item that everyone wants. It’s a very rare ...
