So what's going on?
Well, here's the problem...
when we had the server problems yesterday, all the data about our users got corrupt... NO PROBLEM, we have a backup... however, that backup needs to be indexed to go faster...
That's where the problem happened... the db is currently down due to this indexing...
So, that aside... I was asked where you guys can vote on the halloween costumes.

Love waking up to this crap...
My server company had a "power issue" last night, and because of that, a lot of my tables got corrupt or some crap...
They are fixing it now, but that's why nothing works... sorry for the inconvenience, it will be back up as soon as they fix it... ugh

Quick update, and Violet Proto-drake!
So, as you may have noticed, the database is all back up and ready to go. The only thing I've noticed that's still broken is the green bar on the profile pages. That will be fixed by tonight though so no big deal.
This is not the expansion of the site that I was talking about last night, but Cloudflyin' was able to get our table restored to a backup we had from mid week last week. Good enough imo, and we still intend on getting the new expansion up this weekend. But we'll see :)
I'm just happy we have functionality back!
None of my scanners are running though, so you won't see your characters being updated until tonight.
In other news, I GOT MY
VIOLET PROTO-DRAKE LAST NIGHT! Yay! Got my
chest piece and
boots,
went and disturbed the peace, then sold them back to get my
Pink Elekk, which got me my
75 pet achievement! Was a good night for achievements :)

From "Ugh" comes something good...
So here's the deal. The normal features of this site will be down until this weekend when I have more time to work on it.
There's some good news out of all of this though. I don't want to make any promises until I know I can keep them, but let's just say the site will be growing quite a bit :)
I'll make another post tomorrow but wanted to keep you guys up on why the site has been down.
Anyone been doing their Onyxia runs / getting achievements?

Ugh...
So, as I'm sure you guys have noticed, the site was down for quite a while...
Our server company had to do some emergency maintenance on our server and one of our database tables got corrupt...
Because I never built the system to deal with that, the whole thing went down... :(
That won't be a problem anymore, as you may have noticed, there is now a "Database Disabled" mode.
We expect this to be all set by the time you wake up tomorrow morning. We'll see :)

Okey dokey
Things are good for now, I'm content with what we have up. The personal pages will use the data in the database, if it's expired and you want to refresh the data, just click "Refresh this character" (keep in mind that won't appear if the character data isn't stale).
So, a crap load of work this weekend, for a fairly easy solution... I like it :)
Any recommendations for this week's GTA?

Things are still a bit shaky
Hey all,
As I'm sure you guys noticed over the weekend, the site has been going through some maintenance. Mostly to try to make it not cost me quite so much money (although that doesn't seem to be working :( )
So at the moment use the site at your own risk, I'll try to have it at 100% by the time you are all back at work tomorrow.

Working On The Site
Hello All,
We are working hard on the site tonight. One thing you hopefully will notice soon is the refresh my guild link working again. Another thing we are going to be working on is our first step in expanding the site into China. To do this we need to perform some maintenance on our database servers. Currently we don't plan any down time on the website, but in case the site goes offline for a few minutes you will know what is going on.
Also, we have been giving some thought to creating a cell phone application, but we can't decide which phone platform to use, if you can just enter the phone you want in the comments for this post. Options are: iPhone, Blackberry, Palm Pre or just a traditional mobile website.
